The MD-2 is a speed controller that can run two motors in one unit. the MD-2's internal mixing of motors makes it possible to move forward/backward with up/down stick operation and turn left/right with left/right operation, just like an RC car, even with twin motor tank models. *Mixing is a function in which a microcomputer adds calculations and processing to control the motors based on the operations at hand. In this case, one of the motors is rotated in the opposite direction, enabling forward/backward movement and left/right turning with a single stick.
<Reference: Difference from MD-1>
There is a product called MD-1 as an ESC that can control motors like MD-2. This product can control one motor with one unit. When a car is equipped with a motor on each of its left and right wheels, it is necessary to connect two MD-1 units to each motor and operate the motor only by moving the two sticks up and down to move forward and backward, and turning left and right. This makes it easier to control the machine.
Correction is possible even when the machine does not run straight due to motor variations, etc.
If the machine turns left or right while traveling forward/backward due to individual motor variations, the speed of the left and right motors can be adjusted with the trim of the CH connected to the SIG2 connector to make the machine run in a straight line.
Compatible Models
Although we recommend using this product in combination with the multi-controller “MC-8,” it can also be used with a commercially available radio controller like a speed controller (ESC) for general R/C cars.
Furthermore, by sending the same PWM as the RC servo, it can also be controlled from a microcontroller board.

Caution when using lithium batteries
The MD-2 operates over a wide voltage range of 3 to 6.6v and is not equipped with a protection circuit like LiPo cutoffs. We recommend that you determine the performance and number of motors to be used in advance.
